    Cho Young-ju, Assistant professor in the department of Translation at the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, is a conference interpreter and translator of Korean and Japanese. She earned her B.A. from Yonsei University and her M.A. from the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and completed the coursework for a doctoral program at the Graduate School of International Studies at Hanyang University. 
    She has interpreted at more than 1,600 international conferences. Between 1990 and 2011, she has interpreted KBS television news for NHK Seoul Bureau. She also has extensive professional expertise in translation covering a wide range of topics and text types. Her published translations include the Japanese edition of Wayne A. Kirkbride’s <i>Panmunjeom: Facts About the Korean DMZ</i> (Hollym, 2012), <i>Art Book for Permanent Exhibition: Place and Memory</i> (Seoul Museum of History, 2013), and <i>Folk-crafts, Heart, People of Yanagi Muneyoshi</i> (『야나기 무네요시의 민예 마음 사람』), Culturebooks, 2014).
